'Permaculture. Care for what you love in your own backyard' by Megan Forward - Infant Tees
This t-shirt was designed by Megan Forward, in partnership with Permaculture Australia. Permaculture Australia is the national permaculture member-based organisation in Australia.
Megan is a twice CBCA (Children’s Book Council of Australia) – shortlisted illustrator and author. She facilitates hands-on interactive STEAM (Science, Technology, English, Art and Maths) workshops for young children using her picture books as stimulus. She is passionate about teaching sustainability to young children.
This image comes from a children’s picture book that Megan wrote and illustrated called A Patch from Scratch. Megan wrote the book as a response to the joy her family shared as they transformed their backyard into a wonderful permaculture paradise. Megan says: "I wanted to share our journey and encourage other families to join us in this celebration of nature, permaculture, the joys of harvesting your own produce, reducing waste, and the gentle home-grown family activism of caring for the earth one small urban backyard at a time. Because you care for what you love."
By proudly wearing this design you will be helping spread the word about Permaculture and the ways it can positively impact our society. Bill Mollison describes Permaculture “as a design system for the creation of socially, economically and ecologically sustainable settlements, whether in rural areas or metropolitan cities" - now more important than ever!
Profits from the sale of this t-shirt will be split 50/50 between the designer and Permaculture Australia.
